1. Purpose
CleaRound supports the walking of a show-jumping course. The app can map a track, measure distances, position fences, add notes and save or export a plan.
2. Conditions of use
Users must have a compatible device, follow the instructions shown and remain aware of their surroundings. They are responsible for ensuring that phone use is permitted at the venue and does not obstruct other participants.
3. Free version and CleaRound Pro
CleaRound can be downloaded free of charge and used up to the free limit shown in the app. CleaRound Pro unlocks the features and capacities presented at the time of purchase, including unlimited fences and courses, saving and export.
4. Price, payment and renewal
Indicative offers are €7.99 per month and €49.99 per year. The applicable price is the price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by country, currency, taxes and pricing updates.
Payment, automatic renewal, billing and any refunds are managed by Apple under the App Store terms. Unless cancelled within Apple’s stated timeframe, the subscription automatically renews for the same duration.
5. Cancellation and restoration
The subscription can be managed or cancelled in the Apple Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, subject to Apple’s rules. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. “Restore Purchases” can recover an eligible purchase made with the relevant Apple Account.
6. Accuracy and technical limitations
CleaRound is an aid for course walking, preparation and decision-making. Tracks, distances, orientations, positions and other displayed data are indicative only. They depend on the iPhone sensors, ARKit, tracking quality, how the device is held and real conditions of use, and may therefore contain inaccuracies, deviations, interruptions or errors.
CleaRound is not a certified, calibrated or officially approved measuring instrument and does not guarantee metric accuracy. Any information that is material to safety, training, fence installation or a sporting decision must be checked on site against official references and, where precision is required, using a suitable, checked or approved measuring tool.
The app does not replace the official plan, competition rules, the user’s own course walk, or instructions from the course designer, ground jury, organiser, coach or other qualified professional. In case of conflict, those references and instructions take priority.
7. Safety and liability
Users remain solely responsible for their movement, sporting choices, checks and use of displayed information. They must decide whether conditions allow the app to be used safely and reliably and must never look at the screen at the expense of their own safety or that of horses and people nearby.
Users must not rely exclusively on CleaRound for a decision that may affect a person’s or animal’s safety, for building or adjusting equipment, or for challenging an official measurement or decision.
To the extent permitted by law, CleaRound is not liable for consequences arising from unchecked data, incorrect handling, failure to follow instructions, an unsuitable environment, device or third-party service failure, interrupted tracking, misuse, sporting decisions, competition results or indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Intellectual property
The CleaRound name, interface, text, visuals, algorithms and software are protected. Unauthorised reproduction, modification, extraction, reverse engineering or exploitation is prohibited, subject to mandatory legal exceptions. Users retain ownership of their own notes and content.
9. Changes to the service
CleaRound may be corrected, improved or adapted for technical, regulatory or safety reasons. A feature may change provided this does not unfairly deprive users of a service they have already paid for.
10. Applicable law and contact
These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. For complaints, email contact@clearound-app.com. Apple’s standard licence terms for apps distributed through the App Store supplement these terms where applicable.
